Media Bounty’s 2024, all wrapped up

You know what time it is.

From historic elections, to historic temperatures, to the Glasgow Willy Wonka Experience… it’s been a year where things have undeniably happened in a big way.

But whatever we saw outside our windows or on our phone screens, we kept ourselves busy. As Media Bounty celebrated it’s sweet 16th, our people and partners have been hard at work to make it a year to remember.

Here’s some we made earlier…

For clients old and new, 2024 saw a whole host of campaigns we’re proud to shout about. In no particular order…

2023’s fabulously effective Must Be World Land Trust continues to run (and raise money), with new placements on public transport around the country.

We launched a brand-new brand platform for Ocean Spray, Juice Done Differently. It was introduced to the world with a VOD spot in support of their Cranberry Classic juice, and their new Pink juice.

Our work for Men’s Minds Matter highlighting the link between problem gambling and suicide scooped a bronze at The Drum Awards. The campaign worked out the real probability that someone would die of a gambling-related suicide on the day of The Grand National, expressed as bookmakers’ odds.

Fellow B Corp Jamie Oliver Group joined the fold, as we launched a campaign to support a new range of time-saving flavour-packed meals. Ads were live across social and out of home. The products are part of Jamie’s ongoing efforts to get Brits to love their freezer – helping us eat cheaper, healthier, and better for the environment.

And our media team closed the year with a festive tipple. We led on Beam Suntory’s Beronia x Curzon partnership throughout the cinema’s Merchant Ivory Christmas season.

The ACT movement keeps moving

The ACT Climate Labs team has been hard at work collaborating with the climate sector to help everyday people connect meaningfully with climate issues.

Through partnerships with leading organisations across the UK, US, and Europe, the team has delivered strategic communications on key climate topics, using creativity and trusted media channels to craft messages that shift opinions, attitudes, and behaviours.

This year, the ACT Climate Labs network expanded by a huge 34%, and now includes 830 members. Their insights on audiences, combating disinformation, and best practices in climate advertising have been shared through newsletters, in-person events, webinars, workshops, and training sessions, reaching hundreds of climate communicators.

Our proprietary ‘Persuadables’ research is the bedrock of the whole project, and this year it was featured in Matt Bourn and Sebastian Munden’s brilliantly essential Sustainable Advertising book, further solidifying its reputation as a vital resource for advancing climate communications.

As the group grows, so does their ambitions. Next year we’ll be doing more than ever. Join ACT for free here to access all their content and insight, designed to help you improve the effectiveness of your communications.

We did our bit for the industry

Our Co-founder Jake continues to take the fight to misinformation as part of his work with Conscious Advertising Network. He spoke at events around the world – at the UN, COP, New York Climate Week, and The G20 in Brazil.

We’re still embodying our vision of business done better every day. That means not working with brands that don’t fit our ethics, as well as keeping all our policies and operations up to date and up to standard.

Nowhere is this shown more than with our B Corp certification. We maintained our stellar score of 94.5 (against the average score of 50).

Oh, and we took home the coveted Agency Best Practice trophy at the Ad Net Zero awards. For the second time in a row 💅

Our team

Yet again, we were chuffed to score a spot on Campaign’s Best Places to Work list. That might explain why people stay for so long. And why people want to join, too.

Our Finance Manager Becky has now been the brightest, most helpful part of Team MB for 12 years. Managing Partner Charlie has been keeping clients happy for a decade. And Senior Creative Tommy has been writing these things for five years.

Our Media team grew – welcoming Charlie, Ellen and Charlotte. Sydney joined our Commercial Team, and Alex joined as our Strategy Director. And they’ve all fit in like a glove.

We were busy beyond the office too, using volunteering days across a range of good causes. From serving on the board at charities like JINJA Deaf and the Energy and Climate Intelligence Unit (ECIU), to getting our hands dirty at regenerative farms.

And we topped it all off with some wreath-making, a roast and a glass of red at our Christmas do last week.

Here’s to 2025

Next stop: next year.

Big thanks to our people and partners that helped us make 2024 what it was – and believing in our journey to make the industry a better, cleaner, more trustworthy place.

We’ve been working hard behind the scenes, and we’re cooking up some big, exciting things for 2025.

But for now, here’s to mince pies, probably having our trains cancelled, and Gavin & Stacey.

Merry Christmas!
